Created to Grow is an arts center that provides creative education in the form of instructor lead art classes and guided open studio creativity. Parents and young children grow as they create art projects together. Located at 2904 Pentagon Dr in St Anthony, we look forward to joining our neighbors in the St Anthony shopping center to continue providing a great destination for families in the Minneapolis and St. Paul Areas.
Ms. Ariane is a great teacher. The kids are always engaged by her creative learning activities. Strongly recommended! My 5 year old son can’t get enough!E. Thorton
Such a fun outing- teacher’s super nice and the kiddos have a great time!K. Martin
My daughter and I have loved the classes we’ve taken with Created to Grow. Ariane prepares a fun, educational, and hands-on theme for each class, along with some insider tips for your own projects at home, and we’ve left with some really neat creations. My daughter has continued to have fun with what she’s learned at class: she’s been mixing crayon and paint colors together to create new colors for weeks now! H. Smallman
Visual art is often thought of in terms of sitting at a stool or standing at an easel and focusing on making a single project. Lots of our youngest child and toddler artists aren’t ready for this kind of focused class so Artists on the MOVE provides a balance of movement and focused project. For example, we could learn about lines by following a big tape line that zigs and zags and loops around the room with different types of movement and then create a variety of lines using small tape paper on a paper. Each class will alternate something to do and something to make in short segments for those who need to keep a faster pace. The last 15 minutes will be a chance to explore the studio on your own or play in the playroom or a little of both.
For the artistically confident parent who love to create with their children but don’t have the space (or doesn’t want the mess) in their own home. Created to Grow will begin these classes with a story and an art idea or two, but the studio will be open for you and your children to explore the available materials, create your own artwork or a play room full of toys to play with during that time. We’ll end each hour with a gallery walk to see what families are creating in their time together!
